The MASCA Select Scheme is tailored for semi-skilled individuals, offering affordable healthcare contributions with extensive benefits for day-to-day and critical health needs.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Affordable Primary Healthcare Access:
    Enjoy comprehensive primary healthcare with your chosen private doctor. The scheme covers 90% of costs for acute and chronic medications, with members contributing only 10% at the pharmacy. Annual limits apply.

  • Cancer and High-Cost Treatments:
    MASCA covers 75% of cancer medications and other essential high-cost treatments with pre-authorization, subject to annual benefit limits.

  • Hospitalization Coverage:

    • Private hospital admissions: Fully covered for up to 6 days in a general ward. After 6 days, MASCA covers 50%, with members paying the remaining 50% directly to the hospital.
    • Extended hospitalization for critical cases may be granted on special appeal, within annual limits.
  • Public Hospitals and Municipal Clinics:
    Full coverage for treatment at public hospitals and municipal clinics, subject to annual awards.

  • Diagnostic Services:
    Routine diagnostic procedures, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and pathology tests, are covered. However, advanced tests like MRI, CT scans, and allergy tests are excluded.

  • Emergency Evacuation:
    Emergency road or air evacuations to the nearest referral center (Harare) are covered up to a specified limit.

  • Grant-In-Aid Benefits:
    Dental, optical, nebulizers, and other essential items are included, with coverage up to specific limits.

  • Worldwide Holiday Travel Benefits:
    Emergency medical costs incurred during worldwide travel are covered through MASCA’s contracted travel agents. Refunds for minor injuries and ailments are processed upon submission of receipted accounts.
