How to Call for Help in an Emergency

  • State your name and phone number.

  • Provide the patient’s location, including landmarks or a shared location.

  • Explain what is wrong with the patient.

  • Provide the patient’s age, if known.

  • Share the name and contact details of someone with the patient if you are not present.

  • State the membership number and suffix.

  • Mention the hospital or doctor of preference, if known.

  • Remain calm throughout the process.
